Hanbok

Hanbok is a traditional costume that consists of straight lines and smooth curves.
Women used to wear short jackets and long skirts which were elegant, while men wore trousers and coats for starters and a vest which was worn beneath an outer coat. Koreans used to wear the color white as a basic color. But according to the different seasons or status in society, the color, material, and manner of wearing the clothes were all different.
On special ceremonies such as weddings, commoners could wear colorful clothes and ornaments to their hearts content.
Recently, different styles of the Hanbok have been altered to better suit practical everyday comfort.
